Founder & CEO
Roger Lee
Roger believes tourism should strengthen the communities it celebrates.
A seven-time Emmy Award-winning television producer raised in the heart of Manhattan’s Chinatown, Roger founded Chinatown Legacy Tours to create immersive experiences designed to support local businesses, preserve community stories, and return value to the neighborhood.
Drawing on decades in national broadcast journalism and a lifelong connection to Chinatown, Roger combines professional storytelling with accurate history, firsthand accounts, special guests, exclusive access, and trusted community relationships. Every experience is designed to replace myths and stereotypes with a deeper understanding of one of New York City’s most iconic neighborhoods.
Roger was recognized by New York State Assemblymember Grace Lee and the New York State Assembly Asian Pacific American Task Force for his work preserving Chinatown’s history and supporting its local businesses. He believes tourism should leave a neighborhood stronger than it found it, and every Chinatown Legacy Tours experience is built with that principle in mind.

Co-Founder & CMO
Bernice Pfluger
Bernice believes history becomes real the moment people can see themselves in it.
A marketing strategist and storyteller raised in the heart of Manhattan's Chinatown, Bernice brings decades of experience in creative direction, branding, and digital communications - including leadership roles at national media and publishing brands - to Chinatown Legacy Tours, building immersive experiences that make history engaging, accessible, and relevant for today's audiences.
Bernice combines that professional craft with a lifelong connection to the neighborhood - a perspective shaped by community trust, generational ties, and an enduring pride in Chinatown's resilience. She stays actively involved with local organizations, cultural events, and community initiatives, always looking for opportunities to learn from longtime residents, historians, and small business owners so every story shared on a Chinatown Legacy Tours experience stays accurate, respectful, and reflective of the community that lived it.
Bernice believes tourism only earns its place when it gives something back - amplified voices, visibility for small businesses, dignity for the stories, and a stronger, more vibrant neighborhood on the other side of every visit. It's what she works toward in every experience she shapes for Chinatown Legacy Tours.

CPTO & Co-Strategist
John Ledwith
John believes technology should be invisible infrastructure for trust, not a layer between people and place.
An MIT graduate and native New Yorker, John spent over two decades in platform leadership - including stewarding the NBA's global statistics platform through 22 million nightly events - before reconnecting with founder Roger Lee, his Stuyvesant High School basketball teammate. Since 2019, John has served as Chinatown Legacy Tours' CPTO, designing and building its website from the ground up, then reshaping it as the business has grown and web design standards have evolved.
John brings a rare combination to the work: technical systems built to hold up at national scale, an instinct to connect the dots others miss, and a seat at the strategy table alongside Roger and Bernice, grounded in their lived perspective and the trust they've built with the neighborhood. That combination keeps CLT's technology infrastructure strong without ever getting in the way - trust, at scale, without losing the human voice underneath it.
John believes the right technology doesn't announce itself - it disappears into the experience, so the stories can carry the weight. It's the standard behind every system he builds for Chinatown Legacy Tours.
